Raritan Valley Community College schedules fall info sessions for adult learners

Adults aged 25 and older who are considering starting or returning to college, changing careers, seeking professional development, or improving their English skills can attend upcoming information sessions at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). The sessions are scheduled for October 22, November 19, and December 17 in the Atrium on RVCC’s Branchburg campus. Each date will offer two time slots: from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The information sessions will provide details about academic and certificate programs, the application process, learning options and support services for non-traditional students, tuition payment methods, and financial aid opportunities.

Veterans are encouraged to participate in these events to learn how they can use education benefits at RVCC. The manager of International and Veteran Services will be present to answer questions from prospective students.

RVCC offers flexible semester lengths—14-week (full-term), 12-week, 10-week, and some seven-week courses—to accommodate adults balancing work, family, or other responsibilities. Adult learners can enroll in career training programs as well as certificate or degree tracks.

Programs that may interest adult students include Advanced Manufacturing (with OSHA 10 and NIMS certification), Business Administration (Associate of Science), Business Management (Associate of Applied Science), Electrocardiograph Technician Certificate, English as a Second Language, Fitness Specialist Certificate, Medical Assistant Certificate, Nursing/RN (Associate of Applied Science), Occupational Therapy Assistant (Associate of Applied Science), Paralegal Studies (Associate of Applied Science or Certificate), Supply Chain Management (various degrees/certificates), and Welding Certificate.

RVCC also provides several online degree and certificate options. More information about these offerings is available on the college’s website.
