New Jersey launches enhanced online data hub

TRENTON, NJ – New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Jacquelyn A. Suárez announced the launch of DCA’s new and improved Data Hub. The Hub is an online portal offering access to DCA’s public information, such as data on local government, fire safety, housing, amusement rides, licenses and registrations, and disaster recovery. The new Hub enables users to find relevant datasets and resources by entering a search term for the first time. Users can also browse for datasets by categories such as housing, economic development, taxes, and local government, as well as filter datasets by type and category.

“At DCA, we use data-driven decision-making to tackle policy challenges that will yield better outcomes,” said Commissioner Jacquelyn A. Suárez. “Our data team has developed a new and improved version of DCA’s Data Hub, an open data portal that increases the visibility and accessibility of DCA’s public-facing data products. By leveraging this accurate and timely information, the public can make informed choices that create sustainable solutions for the future. This offering is just one of the many ways DCA acts as a vital resource for the state's residents.”

The public can access the new DCA Data Hub by visiting HERE. The Hub also offers external links to related datasets from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, New Jersey Department of Education, New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the New Jersey State Library.

DCA offers a wide range of programs and services including local government management and finance; affordable housing production; fire safety; building safety; community planning and development; disaster recovery and mitigation; historic preservation; and information privacy.
