Industry experts will gather to discuss fall tourism and review the 2024 summer season at the upcoming Jersey Shoreview Fall Tourism and Business Panel Discussion. The event, organized by Stockton University’s Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism (LIGHT), marks its fifth annual occurrence.
The discussion is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room in Stockton Atlantic City, located at 3711 Atlantic Ave. Attendees can also join via Zoom as the event will be livestreamed. A question-and-answer session will follow the panel discussion.
Bre Young, a Stockton graduate from 2020 and current event coordinator and project manager for Good Time Tricycle Productions, will moderate the panel. Good Time Tricycle is known for organizing various events in Atlantic City, including the popular Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival.
The panel includes Oliver Cooke, an associate professor of Economics at Stockton University and editor of the South Jersey Economic Review; James Marota, director of sales at Caesars Entertainment; Diana Villa, manager of Mexico Restaurant in Atlantic City; and Diane Wieland, director of tourism for Cape May County Department of Tourism.
Panelists are set to provide their forecasts for fall tourism in 2024 while sharing insights on trends influencing gaming, hospitality, and tourism sectors within the region.
“Shoreview has grown to become one of the signature events in South Jersey reflecting on the results of the summer for shore businesses,” said Jane Bokunewicz, LIGHT's faculty director. “LIGHT is thrilled to have some new voices on the panel this year along with our regular contributors. We are excited to hear their diverse perspectives.”
The event is free for both online and in-person participants but registration is recommended via stockton.edu/light or Zoom. Virtual attendees must register to receive access to the Zoom link.
