Monmouth Regional Chamber honors Athena award finalists for leadership excellence

The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) recently celebrated the 39th Annual ATHENA Leadership Award finalists. The event, sponsored by BMW of Freehold, featured NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka among the honorees.

Finalists had the opportunity to introduce themselves and engage with past award recipients, MRCC board members, and other attendees. The ATHENA Leadership Award recognizes individuals for their business achievements, community service, and dedication to mentoring women in leadership roles. It is considered a prestigious global recognition due to its international reach and focus on mentorship.

Ivy Jacot, co-chair of the ATHENA Leadership Award Program, stated: “I am continuously inspired by the remarkable women we honor through the ATHENA Awards. Each finalist exemplifies not only outstanding professional achievement but also a commitment to mentoring and uplifting others, especially women. Their leadership serves as a powerful reminder of the positive impact that dedication, service, and empowerment can have in our communities.”

The finalists for this year's ATHENA Leadership Awards include:

- Tracey Abby-White from Brookdale Community College

- Jacklyn Atkins from NJ Give a Kid a Dream

- Bonnie Featherstone-Johnson from BonaFide Staffing

- Dr. Jackeline Mejias-Fuertes from America’s SBDC NJ at Brookdale Community College

- Michele Siekerka from NJ Business & Industry Association

The finalists for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award are:

- Kristen Cladek from LADACIN Network

- Dr. Manuela Jimenez from Perth Amboy Schools

- Brianna Lindia from The Nines / Music for Aardvarks

- Dr. Susan Pagano from Brookdale Community College

- Chelsea Traina from Schroth School

The MRCC has invited the community to attend the ATHENA Leadership Awards Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 8 at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune. During this event, one recipient in each category will be announced. Tickets are available online until Nov. 4.
