Seven companies from New Jersey have been recognized on the Military Times 2024 list of top U.S. employers for military veterans and their families. This list highlights organizations that excel in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining veterans and their family members.
The "Best for Vets 2024 Employers" list, published recently, includes 237 employers across 44 states. The rankings consider not just employment numbers but also support programs, accommodations for veterans with disabilities, and opportunities for veterans' spouses and caregivers.
Johnson & Johnson, headquartered in New Brunswick, secured the second spot on the national list. The company has a dedicated Office of Military & Veterans Affairs to assist the military-connected community. Its veteran-friendly policies include counting military service toward retirement and allowing reservists to continue contributing to their 401(k) pensions during active duty.
Bristol Myers Squibb, based in Lawrence Township, ranked sixth on the list due to its supportive employment practices for the military-connected community.
