Business leaders pledge support for next U.S. president

As the nation votes, the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) has joined hundreds of manufacturing companies and business groups in a collective effort to engage with the next U.S. president. The initiative involves a letter pledging cooperation to address national challenges.

The letter, endorsed by National Association of Manufacturers President & CEO Jay Timmons and 600 business leaders across the United States, calls for national unity and highlights the manufacturing sector's potential to unite the country and provide solutions.

"We believe in an exceptional America, and that our future is strongest when we are united," states the letter. "As business leaders, we have a unique responsibility to help bridge divides and advance our shared purpose."

The executives emphasize that a robust manufacturing economy is vital for national security, economic resilience, and ongoing prosperity. They note that millions of workers and communities rely on a thriving manufacturing sector.

"We understand the power of collaboration and are ready to work productively with your administration to tackle the pressing challenges we face," continues the letter. "While there may be moments of disagreement, we are committed to addressing those differences with mutual respect and in the spirit of constructive dialogue."

"As leaders of industries that drive America’s promise, you can count on us as steadfast partners in this work and in building our future together," it concludes.
