Raritan Valley Community College's Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science program received the ASE Training Managers Council's National Excellence in Training Award on May 22 at the college's Workforce Training Center. The program is one of only three nationwide to earn this recognition.
The annual awards are designed to highlight exceptional or innovative training programs within the automotive and truck industry, emphasizing the importance of training for industry success. The 2024 ATMC National Excellence in Training Awards were announced at a reception in November during AAPEX in Las Vegas. Submissions were evaluated by an ATMC panel based on several criteria: program overview, needs analysis, learning objectives, program elements/materials, delivery methods, measurement of intended outcome, and program sustainment/maintenance.
Founded in 1984 as a nonprofit organization, the ASE Training Managers Council aims to promote training and professional development within the automotive service industry. Since its reorganization in 2009 as part of the ASE family of organizations, ATMC continues to support members by fostering interaction and sharing innovations in training.
