Rachel Korberg, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Families and Workers Fund, was featured as a guest on the Heldrich Center’s Work Trends RU podcast this week. Korberg is also a member of the Heldrich Center’s National Advisory Board.
During the episode, Korberg discussed the mission and impact of the Families and Workers Fund. She highlighted several programs supported by the fund, including PowerCorpsPHL in Philadelphia, which combines job training with wraparound services for youth; RxKids in Michigan, an initiative providing financial support to pregnant women to address infant poverty; and Better Builder in Texas, a program focused on improving working conditions in construction.
Korberg also spoke about strategies for advancing economic mobility and job quality for workers. She addressed what constitutes a good job in today’s economy and emphasized the importance of employer partnerships in driving change.
